About Penserra

Penserra Securities early beginnings

Penserra Securities has its early beginning in 2006 when George Madrigal and Fernando Mateo initiated a partnership to structure an institutional brokerage firm. From the beginning the co-founders believed they could create a successful firm that would not only provide a best in class service to institutional clients, but would also provide opportunities for exceptional minority professionals wanting to be a part of the investment community.
The Firm was founded on the principle that we will not only provide the best products and services to our clients, but also to support our community. Accordingly, Penserra is actively involved with mentoring programs such as the Robert Toigo Foundation and community outreach programs such as Hispanics Across America. Our founders also support the efforts of organizations such as the National Association of Securities Professionals and the New America Alliance.

Penserra Securities LLC is an agency-only brokerage firm located in New York City adjacent to the New York Stock Exchange. We are members of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC)and are certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE).
